As a professional bartender, you are a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you rely on your excellent organization and communication skills.
Bartender Responsibilities:
- Be a brand ambassador, ensuring each guest has a memorable experience
- Engage with guests as they make food and beverage decisions
- Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant guests
- Coordinate food orders with kitchen staff for bar guests
- Build a rapport with regular guests to keep them coming back
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Verify identification and age requirements of guests
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions using a POS system
- Take pride in keeping the bar area clean, sanitized, and stocked
- Contribute to an overall positive and collaborative environment
Management Responsibilities:
- Assist General Manager with interviewing, hiring, staffing, schedule writing
- Lead by example and coach in the moment
- Place LBW orders; build vendor relationships
- Create new and innovative cocktails for seasonal menu launches
- Teach and develop bar team members
- Implement/maintain cleaning standards/routines to ensure an immaculate bar
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous bartender and bar management experience 3-5 years
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Skilled at making and developing craft cocktails
- Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
- Basic food safety understanding and practice
- Hardworking with a positive and upbeat attitude
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced work environment
- Food Handler Certification a plus and will be required within 30 days of hire
