Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral process, providing bereavement support, and ensuring that all services are conducted with the utmost respect and professionalism. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as a deep understanding of the emotional needs of grieving families.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including event planning and logistics.
  • Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and assistance during their time of loss.
  • Prepare deceased individuals for viewing by sanitizing, dressing, and applying cosmetology techniques as needed.
  • Conduct funeral services in accordance with the wishes of the deceased and their families.
  • Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure proper handling of remains.
  • Assist in heavy lifting and transportation of caskets and other equipment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless experience for families during their time of need.
  • Stay informed about legal requirements and regulations related to funeral directing.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in funeral directing or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize with grieving families.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for proper handling of remains.
  • Familiarity with cosmetology techniques is a plus for preparing deceased individuals for viewings.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
  • Excellent event planning skills to coordinate various aspects of funeral services.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with families and team members.
  • A valid funeral director license is required.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 15 per week
