Job Description
Lifeguard Instructors are responsible for delivery of courses in Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Bloodborne Pathogen Transmission, Rescue Inhaler use, and Epinephrine Injector use. All courses must be taught in accordance with the American Red Cross standards and policies. Instructors must ensure respectful treatment of all class equipment and supplies and are responsible for confirming receipt of all materials and arranging return on the final day of each course being taught. Instructors are also responsible for submitting all requested course documentation to the Aquatics Professional staff or designee.
Requirements
- Age 17
- Confident, mature, and well-spoken
- Able to provide quality customer service for a diverse population
- Current American Red Cross certification ‘Lifeguard Instructor’ (LGI)
- Able to access and utilize ‘Instructor’s Corner’ class management website administered by the American Red Cross.
