Job Title : Tennis Court Monitor
Department : 4300 Tennis
Reports To : Tennis Program Manager
FLSA Status : Non-exempt
Salary Grade : Seasonal
Purpose : Monitors all Reston Association tennis courts on a continual basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Visits each tennis facility continually throughout each shift via company provided transportation.
- Collects guest fees and checks for valid pool and tennis passes for each member or guest utilizing a facility.
- Issues one day guest passes and collect guest pass fees to submit to management for reconciliation and processing.
- Enforces tennis court and program rules and regulations on behalf of the organization.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has no supervisory responsibilities; however may supervise interns and / or temporary or seasonal employees as required.

Education and Experience – High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year of customer service experience.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Other Skills and Abilities – Requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing; advanced skill in the use of word processing
understand and carry out oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work; and exercise excellent customer service skills at all times.
Other Qualifications - Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Decision-Making & Independence Exercised : Describes the level of authority and / or responsibility to make decisions, develop and revise policies & procedures, make official commitments on behalf of the Association, etc.
Employee follows established policies and procedures; formulates, interprets, or implement management policies or operating practices as required to job responsibilities; exercises initiative, independent judgment and proficient customer service skills and represent the Association before public audiences as a spokesperson, or in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances with regard to facility operations and job duties / tasks as required.
Tools, Equipment & Machines Used : Requires operation of a company vehicle and basic mathematics skills.
Contacts : Frequent contact with Association members and other visitors for the purpose of providing or exchanging information.
