Compensation

We offer starting pay $18-$23 dollars per hour; time and a half for wearing PPE; medical, dental, vision offered, retirement with a 3% employer match and paid time off.

Position Overview

Water Technician supports emergency response and restoration projects to ensure the goals and meet the needs of our customers and the insurance companies.

The Lead Water Technician can implement water remediation procedures consistent with the IICRCS-500 & 520 Standard. If you like to work with you hands and mind, below are common job responsibilities:

• Assessing and stabiltizing areas with water damage
• Setting & monitoring drying equipment
• Documentation of drying process - creating moisture mapping affected areas, recording temperature, relative humidity, and moisture content readings of the materials affected
• Selective demolition as required to accommodate the drying process
• Other duties as assigned

Participate as directed in the following activities:

• Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
• Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all safety policies and procedures
• Ensure vehicle is cleaned and restocked at end of shift
• Maintain equipment and clean, safe, and professional work environments
• Ensure attention to detail
• Safeguard property - both the clients’ and ours
• Comply with all Restoration 1 policies and procedures
• Attend all Restoration 1 sponsored training courses Required Qualifications
• IICRC certification for Water Restoration Technician (WRT) welcomed
• IICRC certification for Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) an asset
• 2 years industry related experience, Construction / Restoration / Insurance preferred
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per Restoration 1’s vehicle policy
• Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and/or Tablet / iPad experience
• Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
• Criminal record check, motor vehicle check, drug testing Physical Demands
• Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)
• Occasional lifting from 41 lbs , assisted (up to 50% of the time)
• Access and mobility in tight spaces
• Fit Testing – half and full-face mask as needed; annual certification required
• Working at heights - over 5 feet, periodically
• Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
