THE COMPANY
Restoration Parts Unlimited (“RPUI”), is a strategic business in the Automotive Aftermarket (Classic Car Restoration, Performance and Modification) segment supplying parts and accessories to wholesale dealers and consumers.
The objective of RPUI is to provide a “best-in-industry operating model”, develop and manufacture automotive restoration products, coupled with outstanding service to our customers at a profitable growth and excellent return on investments.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
RPUI provides a fast paced, jovial atmosphere that allows for growth and learning from highly respected men and women in the classic automotive industry. The role of Assistant Controller will report to the Corporate Controller and primarily provide financial and administrative support to the RPUI accounting and management team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
· Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
· Prepares and records assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
· Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
· Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
· Responsible for the complete month-end closing process for multiple businesses.
· Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
· Aids in the accounts receivable and collections process, along with accounts payable.
· Assists with external audits by providing all requested information for auditors.
· Assists other department managers as needed with projects including inventory accuracy, costing, process development, key indicator reporting, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors in accounting or equivalent formal education
· Cost Accounting, Manufacturing, and/or Inventory experience
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Advanced excel skills
· A 'can do' and proactive attitude
· Appreciate the importance & strengths of working within a team
· Self-directed, self-disciplined and highly organized
