Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. This position requires flexibility, as the employee will be cross trained in multiple housekeeping roles, including Laundry, Houseperson, Room Attendant, and Public Area Attendant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all housekeeping duties, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces according to hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
- Assist with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels.
- Perform Houseperson duties, such as replenishing housekeeping supplies, assisting with guest requests, and supporting room attendants as needed.
- Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common spaces.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests, responding to requests professionally and promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor.
