Billing Coordinator

Restorative Pathways Counseling is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Coordinator to join our team. This critical role ensures the efficient management of insurance credentialing, client billing processes, and compliance while supporting the financial health of our practice. If youre looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the mental health field and thrive in a collaborative environment, wed love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities : Oversee insurance credentialing, contracting, and fee schedule updates.Serve as the primary contact between insurance representatives and the practice.Ensure accurate and up-to-date client insurance information in EHR.Complete insurance benefit checks and provide out-of-pocket estimates to all clients.Manage client billing processes, including running and recording payments, addressing unpaid invoices, and developing payment plans.Support managed billing services with accurate and timely claims submissions and payment follow-ups.Monitor and reconcile client aging reports and refunds in alignment with organizational policies.Review claims for coding accuracy, including diagnostic and procedural codes, modifiers, and place of service.Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and errors in collaboration with managed billing services.Research and analyze reimbursement data and billing trends to support practice goals.Partner with leadership to update systems, policies, and procedures for optimal efficiency.Skills and Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance credentialing, or related roles.Familiarity with mental health billing processes and revenue cycles required.Ability to attend in-office meetings Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is a plus.Proficiency with billing and practice management software (e.g., Simple Practice).Advanced knowledge of insurance billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and modifiers.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding, benefit checks, and payment processing.Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.Commitment to compliance with HIPAA regulations, insurance laws, and organizational policies.Why Join Restorative Pathways Counseling?Collaborative and supportive team environment.Opportunities for professional development and continued learning.Flexible work schedules to support work-life balance.The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the mental health field.
