Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform procedures such as gastric lavage and cardiac catheterization as needed.
- Provide health coaching to patients, promoting wellness and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Utilize telehealth services to extend care to patients remotely.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a Level II Trauma Center environment.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with an active state license.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in healthcare.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
