As a Loan Servicing Representative I you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for customer service activities related to mortgage servicing such as insurance, escrow, assumptions, payoffs, customer and investor relations, loan records and credit references. Ensures all activities are in compliance.
- Administers and reconciles escrow accounts and disbursing of funds for construction loans. Pays taxes and insurance on escrowed mortgage loans and obtains current information on non-escrowed accounts. Conducts analysis for annual rate and payment changes.
- Processes loan documents for First and Second Trust notes. Maintains a tracking system to ensure documents are signed and returned by customers, providing follow-up when necessary and are properly recorded.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties which require knowledge of such departmental procedures as completing loan documents, processing loan forms and files, computing statistics; establishing and maintaining a variety of ledgers, records, and/or files; maintaining paid loan files, and entering data. Directly develops data for a limited number of reports.
- Prepares a variety of on-going and special reports on a daily, weekly, quarterly, etc. basis.
- Reviews loan closing documents to verify the accuracy of documents, that they are complete, in compliance, and according to the Bank’s guidelines.
- Responsible for applying requirements relating to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Customer Identification Program (CIP) including Beneficial Ownership (BO).
- Responsible for applying all the regulatory requirements during the performance of the job duties as assigned.
- Complete all annual required BSA and other bank compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.
- Performs other mortgage lending and administrative duties as assigned by the VP of Residential Lending or the AVP Manager of Residential Lending Operations.
- Apply requirements relating to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Customer Identification Program (CIP) including Beneficial Ownership (BO).
- Apply all the regulatory requirements during the performance of the job duties as assigned.
- Complete all annual required BSA and other bank compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.
- High school degree or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum two years’ mortgage lending experience; loan servicing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of servicing activities, insurance policies, loan documents, and legal documents.
- Experience with FIS Horizon or other loan servicing software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
- PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet, and mortgage software.
- Must possess strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/priorities and meet required deadlines.
- Local travel required.
- Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and use standard office equipment, including, but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (i.e., file boxes).
