What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialty Pharmacy Intake Coordinator/Pharmacy Technician position at Restore Rx/Value Specialty Pharmacy?
Position Summary/Objective
The Intake Coordinator will process new orders and coordinate prior authorization processes. The successful candidate may work with referral sources to procure documents to ensure coverage for medications, contact facilities to schedule deliveries, and contact patients to schedule medication shipments.
This position works in a hybrid work environment - 2 days on-site, 3 days remote. This position will not be filled in a fully remote capacity.
Essential Functions
1. Call patients or facilities to schedule a day and time for delivery of medications.
2. Contact physician offices to secure prior authorization requests within the designated timeframe.
3. Process prescription orders from referral sources via telephone and fax.
4. Maintain and update spreadsheet information for each patient in the Hub Program databases.
5. Maintain compliance with all legal and safety guidelines as well as company policies and procedures.
Work Environment
This position operates in a quiet office environment and receives periodic supervision.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work related travel is not required in this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Skilled in MS Office Suite and database
Strong preference for experience in either Specialty or independent pharmacy or medical office.
Preferred Education and Experience
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Security Clearance/Background Check
If required.
