We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will support attorneys in various aspects of case management, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Utilize document management systems to organize case files and maintain accurate records.
- Assist attorneys in interviewing clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases.
- Perform data entry tasks related to case management and documentation.
- Review documents for relevance and accuracy during the discovery process.
- Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategies and assist in trial preparation.
- Maintain communication with clients regarding case updates and necessary documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program; or four (4) years of experience working in a law office providing legal services. Please do not apply if you do not need this requirement.
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
- Strong knowledge of family law, personal injury, criminal defense, estate planning, civil litigation is preferred.
- Proficiency in document management systems
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to create clear and concise legal documents.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex information effectively.
- Experience in interviewing clients and witnesses is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal case management software is advantageous.
