SUMMARY
Ensures that all activities associated with x-ray staff and quality diagnostic orthopedic x-rays are achieved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
- Responsible for providing X-rays ordered by the providers.
- Responsible for quality X-rays to include a correct image, right or left markers, patient ID, and provider
- Maintains proper use of x-ray equipment, CR, DR, and PACS.
- Proper use of computer is for business purposes only.
- Communicates with the x-ray director with any concerns or operational questions/problems.
- Establishes a professional relationship with the physicians, co-workers and clinical staff.
- Responsible for teaching X-ray students how to perform X-rays, patient care, and workflow in the clinical X-ray setting.
- Help clinical staff with PACS, including importing and burning CDs.
- Assist clinical staff when not busy with x-rays.
- Maintains EMR imaging duties and medical records release form with CD requests.
- Maintain ordering of x-ray supplies when necessary.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for new hire training for x-ray techs and onboarding/offboarding.
- Responsible for x-ray staff evaluations, one-on-ones, and observations within the respective supervising region.
- Must be a Clinical Instructor for students if licensed.
- Maintain current RT cards within the respective supervising region.
- PACS superuser, training providers, and the clinical/x-ray staff.
- Take care of weekly x-ray staff schedules to reflect PTO coverage and provider clinic schedules.
- PTO approval of x-ray staff.
- Communicates with other x-ray supervisors for proper staffing.
- Take care of any issues or concerns with x-ray staff and/or doctors/PAs/NPs.
- Work at other Resurgens’ sites when necessary.
- Maintain order of x-ray supplies.
- Distribute, collect, and mail in quarterly dosimetry badges for x-ray staff.
- Check and approve payroll for proper attendance and EAFs.
- Responsible for PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) documentation when necessary.
- Cover for other x-ray Supervisors and/or Directors when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Radiologic Technologist, may be licensed or registry eligible.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Supervisor experience preferred
- Current certification in CPR encouraged
- Perform quality diagnostic x-rays
- Strong customer service ethic
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Familiar with orthopedic x-rays in a clinical setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to communicate and document clearly and concisely
- Flexibility in leading self and others reporting to supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally assist in patient transfer and must incorporate proper body mechanics. The employee is required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and to talk and hear. Employee may be occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee must occasionally lift, move, or transfer a patient. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to risk of infectious diseases when interacting with patients and/or family members. The employee may be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
