Description
The Facilities Technician position performs a variety of maintenance and repair activities and is responsible for the cleanliness of all areas of the Resurrection Christian School campus.
ABOUT RCS:
Resurrection Christian School is a private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado. Founded in 1998 by Rez.Church, Resurrection Christian School serves students from Pre-K through 12th grade. RCS is the largest Christian school in Northern Colorado, serving nearly 1100 families from 19 communities over a 25-mile radius. School enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is approximately 1,470 students. RCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI); AdvancED.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the Director of Facilities & Maintenance Manager in the establishment, coordination and administration an effective maintenance program for all district facilities.
• Perform basic repair and maintenance to ensure a well-maintained indoor and outdoor facility.
• Provide basic tools to perform building maintenance and repair.
• Perform snow removal and basic outdoor landscaping.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, estimating and scheduling maintenance and repair to the facility equipment, building and campus grounds.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining a close working relationship with vendors and contractors who supply goods and services to the school. Communicate facility needs as necessary.
• Vacuum classrooms, offices, halls and doormats.
• Sweep and mop rooms, stairs and halls.
• Clean and sanitize all bathroom and locker room sinks, toilets, urinals, floors, mirrors, paper towel holders and stall walls.
• Stock all paper products in bathrooms and locker rooms.
• Clean and sanitize desktops, countertops, tabletops and classroom sinks.
• Clean windows, walls, light fixtures and furniture extensively.
• Clean and sanitize lockers, dust the top of the lockers.
• Dust furniture, computers, televisions and windowsills.
• Maintain cleaning equipment.
• Replace light bulbs, paint and other minor maintenance needs.
• Move furniture or equipment as needed
• Strip, wax, and buff floors.
• Shampoo carpet extensively.
• Help set up and clean up after activities.
• Empty trashcans, pencil sharpeners and clean white boards.
• Secure building.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of basic construction, mechanical, plumbing and electrical operations.
• Knowledge of commercial building repair, maintenance, construction and facilities’ operations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other department related software packages.
ABILITIES:
• Able to operate a variety of equipment necessary for building repair and maintenance.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and multi-task with frequent interruptions.
• Able to work in a team environment and works effectively with other departments to accomplish goals.
• Able to work independently with little or no supervision.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience related to building maintenance is required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license.
Must have excellent planning skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion. Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation and management skills are required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in an office and outdoor environment, some exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, steam, as well as controlled and hazardous substances may exist. Must have a general knowledge of how to repair and replacement the facility systems. Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to climb ladders; stoop, kneel, bend, reach and pick up or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds; and possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
