Retail Data Systems of Kansas (www.rdspos.com) has an immediate opening for a full time computer / point of sale support technician in our Wichita office. Retail Data Systems is the largest provider of Point of Sale System Hardware and Software in North America. Founded in 1950, RDS now operates over 30 offices serving customers across the nation providing complete Point Of Sale technology.
Prospective employees must be self motivated and have a desire to learn. Outgoing personality preferred. Technicians will deal directly with businesses and NOT home users. RDS has the best coworkers and even better customers!
Basic job responsibilities include the following:
*Responding quickly to customers.
*Quick response to dispatched calls.
*Computer & Network troubleshooting.
*Training and support of proprietary software.
*Documenting calls.
Requirements for employment:
*Learn quickly and perform well under pressure.
*Ability to work independently yet within company guidelines.
*High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional maturity.
*Must be open to a flexible schedule/hours.
*Travel is required (rarely overnight)
*Must be able to pass a background check.
Experience:
*Windows 7 / Windows 10 experience preferable
*Microsoft SQL experience preferable.
*Previous experience in the supermarket industry or a related technology field strongly preferred.
*Bilingual prospects are encouraged to apply.
*Point of Sale experience is preferred but not mandatory
