Position: Cart Retrieval Technician
Report to: Field Lead/Retrieval Manager
Job Types: Full-Time, Part-Time (Hourly)
Location: San Bernardino & Riverside, CA (On the road Technician)
Overview:
RMS is looking for dedicated and reliable Cart Retrieval Technicians to join our team in the San Bernardino & Riverside, CA, area. This role involves retrieving abandoned shopping carts from designated areas (such as streets, parking lots, and neighborhoods) and returning them to retail and grocery stores. Technicians will work closely with the Field Lead and Regional Manager to ensure a smooth and efficient cart retrieval.
Position Options:
Full-time: 40 hours per week. The position comes with full RMS benefits.
Part-time: 20 hours per week. Eligible for sick time pay.
Qualifications:
- Own a truck or flatbed trailer, have appropriate vehicle insurance, and valid vehicle registration.
- Have a valid state drivers license
- Able to follow safety protocols
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work in varying weather conditions.
- Must work independently as part of the RMS team while maintaining communication with staff.
Summary of Responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
- Retrieve and return abandoned shopping carts to grocery and retail stores
- Maintain store cart inventories during high-volume seasons
- Follow designated routes to service customers efficiently and record mileage through the work App.
- Submit all work performed through RMS's operations app
- Work with the Operations & Regional Manager to coordinate retrieval schedules services and address cart-related issues
- Adhere to RMSs safe driving standards

Physical Requirements:
- Able to enter and exit the vehicle consistently for cart retrieval.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of sitting for extended periods while driving.
- Comfortable with using navigation apps and submitting work through the RMS operations app.
