Job Overview :
The HR Generalist will oversee the daily functions of Human Resources (HR), including full-cycle recruiting, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and policy enforcement. This role will collaborate with various departments to ensure HR operations align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates for open positions.
Partner with department managers to assess staffing needs and enhance hiring strategies for warehouse and retail operations.
Administer HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave management, performance management, and employee relations.
Assist in resolving employee concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Maintain accurate physical and digital employee records, including benefits, attendance, and status changes.
Work closely with Safety Managers to support workers' compensation claims, occupational health, and safety initiatives.
Review and approve HR-related invoices, conduct audits, and support cross-departmental projects as assigned.
Foster a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement, recognition programs, and morale-building initiatives.
Requirements :
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 1 year of HR experience, preferably with exposure to HR management functions.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and support employees at all levels.
Exceptional communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Paylocity HRIS is a plus.
