Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using software.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage correspondence efficiently.
- Perform data entry tasks, including typing patient information into computerized systems.
- Assist in the coordination of patient flow within the clinic to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide support for medical administrative tasks as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential; experience in a ophthalmology clinic setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with EHR software is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
