JOB SUMMARY: The role of the ophthalmic clinical assistant is to assist both clinical and administrative staff to maximize patient flow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Greets patients and guests in a friendly and professional manner
Takes temperatures of all guests
Obtains patient history
Enters data into practice management and EMR systems
Escorts patients to exam rooms
Sets up the room for the physician; cleans the room after the procedures
Stocks supplies
Adheres to OSHA, HIPPA, and security protocols.
Supports RGF’s Mission Statement
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff
- Ability to exhibit patience and compassion
- Flexibility with hours and local area travel
- Ability to work in multiple software programs/applications
- Ability to prioritize tasks properly
- Ability to work in a high pace team environment and or independently
- Must have the ability to multi-task
