Medical Scribe / Ophthalmic Technician Description:
Retina Northwest Ophthalmic Medical Scribe is a Full-Time position and is responsible for working alongside our physicians utilizing clinical knowledge to enter patient information into an electronic health record (Nextech) and transcribe physician’s medical decision-making in real time and will assist in the care, treatment, and education of ophthalmology patients. Medical Scribes regularly travel to all RNW clinic locations; access to reliable transportation is required for work assignments in OR and WA Clinics. Medical Scribes are Full-Time and cross train as Ophthalmic Technicians to learn the direct patient care functions of rooming patients, obtaining medical history, prepping for injections, assisting with laser treatments, and performing OCT testing. This is a great opportunity for Medical Students to gain skills as a scribe and to learn direct patient care.
