What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk/Bilingual position at Retina Treatment Center?
We are looking for a team player, with an administrative background, to fill our front office medical opening. This individual will help direct the front office so that our patients have a pleasant and reassuring experience. Our patients are our first priority!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Register patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to insure data integrity and facilitate claims processing.
-Educate patients on payment policies and options.
-Responsible for collecting all payments due at time of service before and after visit.
-Prepares patient chart (EHR meaningful use)
-Scan patient, driver's license, insurance cards, and demographics' paperwork.
-Speaks professionally, courteously and respectfully to all patients and those that you come in contact
-Monitors wait times to facilitate patient flow.
-Maintains the reception/waiting area
-Opens the clinic at the designated time and ensures that all front- office activities are fully operational at the start of the business hours
REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer literacy and knowledge of electronic medical records a must
- Knowledge of HIPAA and familiarity with insurance company requirements
- Must be detail oriented individual who can multi task
-Candidate possesses strong business acumen.
-Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Minimum of two (2) years of related administrative experience required, preferably in a medical office setting
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of information at all times.
Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving, criminal, employment reference, education, and social security.
***Must have reliable transportation as minimal travel between offices is necessary***
