- Serving as a companion to clients
- Managing medication
- Preparing and serving meals
- Interpersonal skills, including exceptional patience and listening skills
- The ability to provide care to clients with different mental health symptoms and behaviors
- Checking patients’ vital signs as directed and documentation of clients mood/behaviors
- Providing compassionate care by listening to clients concerns and guiding them by answering any questions or concerns
- Monitoring clients conditions and providing updates to the care team
- Helping clients with goal setting, short term and long term, to help develop daily activities at day program
- Monitoring clients progress and overall well-being
