RETTEW is seeking a highly motivated Designer with at least 5 years of AutoCAD experience in public utility, electric, gas, sewer and water utility projects to join their Subsurface Utility Engineering Team in the Environmental and Geotechnology Practice. The candidate will assist Team Leads, Project Managers, and technical professionals on existing and upcoming projects primarily within PA, OH, MD and WV. The position can be located in any of our primary PA offices : Lehigh Valley, Lancaster, Mechanicsburg, Williamsport, or Pittsburgh, PA, with in-office work and hybrid options available after six months.
Responsibilities include providing design support for electric, gas, sewer, water, stormwater, waterline, and other utility projects. The ideal candidate will have working design knowledge of linear projects, 811 project design requirements, and utility construction. The candidate will prepare various design documents to support the project teams, including existing conditions surveys, design plans, construction plans, permit plans / exhibits, site restoration design plans, utility crossing exhibits, etc.
