Description
RETTEW is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to fill an open Engineer 1 position to support our growing Municipal Team with environmental design for multi-disciplined water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Newly graduated professionals encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Public and private sector environmental engineering design for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and treatment projects.
- Work includes basic to moderate complexity planning, design, and permitting for municipal clients.
- Perform basic design tasks including computations and analysis.
- Grant applications, plans, and funding research
- Prepare portions of plans, specifications, and other project documents; assists with preparation of other engineering deliverables.
- Perform research and field investigations, collects data, and gathers information or documents.
- Consult project team about regulations impacting projects; performs regulation research as needed.
- Ability to effectively present projects to clients and regulatory authorities.
- Client interaction and meeting participation.
- Participate in fieldwork supporting construction management activities.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering
- EIT certification is preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- AutoCAD Civil 3D & ArcGIS knowledge a plus
- Ability to read and understand municipal specifications and regulations
- Ability to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary
