Production Operator
Position Summary:
This role will report to our Head of Production and Quality, and the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in operating all aspects of the packaging line and cellar production, including setup, troubleshooting, and off-packing, along with kegging, and cellaring. Training will be provided for all aspects of the position. A basic understanding of beer and the brewing process is desired. Production Operators have one primary goal: to assist with the smooth production of our beer. The successful applicant will be a member of the brewery operations team and work closely with the other brewing team members.

Reuben's Brews is a family brewery that opened in 2012. We brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints. We know making the extra effort is worth it. We are the most decorated brewery in Washington, have two brewhouses, two tasting rooms, and two private event spaces, and we distribute our beer predominantly in the Pacific Northwest. In 2023 we brewed 27,000 BBLs.
The Role:
Duties will include, but aren’t necessarily limited to the following:
- Holistically responsible for supporting all production activities to ensure perfectly finished packaged beer
- Operating the packaging line packaging bottles and cans
- Keg washing and filling
- Troubleshooting mechanical challenges
- Focusing on raw material handling, wort production, cellar movement, dry hopping, yeast harvesting, beer finishing, and SIP/CIP of hot and cold side equipment
- Conducting quality checks and ensuring standards are met, troubleshooting when necessary
- Prepping tanks for packaging or kegging
- Moving supplies and staging materials throughout the day
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the brewery
- Accurately recording data
- Help with training peers on tasks when necessary
- Helping out throughout all aspects of production when needed

- Physical demands include but are not limited to: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Often lift or move full half bbl kegs (60–160 pounds).
