Production Operator

Blending Technician / Production Specialist 

SmartTalent Kirkland is seeking to hire a Blending Technician for a pharmaceutical company based in Redmond, WA. Ideal candidate will have previous production, manufacturing, or machine operation experience. 

LOCATION: Redmond, WA 

PAY: $22 - $24 

*Pay depends on shift and experience level 

SCHEDULE:   

Monday - Friday- 5am - 130pm

Job Responsibilities: 

·        Retrieve blend/packaging batch sheets to confirm the correct organism carriers and ensure all necessary equipment is prepared for the day. 

·        Review blending documentation to verify that sample and testing requests are correctly routed, labeled, and submitted to QA. 

·        Follow instructions to execute production orders accurately. 

·        Support inventory control on the production side by maintaining precise weights and labels for all containers. 

·        Clean, sanitize, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment as needed. 

·        Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot equipment as necessary. 

·        Uphold “First In – First Out” inventory management practices within the department. 

·        Maintain facility cleanliness to ensure it is always in a “tour-ready” condition. 

·        Pour pans and apply vacuum pressure on freeze dryers. 

·        Clean and sterilize lyophilization pans, harvest and sanitize freeze dryers, and set up and load products onto freeze dryer shelves. 

·        Accurately document parameters related to the freeze-drying process and final freeze-dried products. 

·        Complete the freeze dryer procedure by pulling a vacuum and initiating the heating process. 

·        Prepare and evaluate slurry samples. 

·        Collect concentrated product samples aseptically and measure and record pH readings. 

·        Assemble, disassemble, clean, and maintain centrifuge and harvest jumper lines. 

·        Oversee the harvesting of fermentation vessels, ensure proper yield volumes, and supervise freeze dryer loading. 

·        Monitor and maintain COP solution concentration and temperature. 

·        Assist in the preparation and packaging of finished goods on the Stick Pack line. 

·        Complete master batch records accurately. 

·        Provide assistance to colleagues as needed. 

·        Perform additional duties and special projects as required. 

Qualifications: 

·        Must have good math and computer skills. Must be able to stand and move entire shift  

·        Previous production, manufacturing, or machine operation experience highly desired
