Reuter-Stokes researchers and engineers collaborate with customers to design, produce, and install reliable equipment for harsh environments. Our solutions include precise radiation measurement for nuclear reactor monitoring for SMR. Today, more than 100,000 Reuter-Stokes detectors are deployed on existing reactors around the world.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for Systems Engineering activities for NPI & NTI programs. You will guide the overall technical effort, in close collaboration with the Technical Manager, Product Leader, and other cross functional teams, driving adoption of Systems Engineering practice. You will present to senior leaders and to cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
In the Role of Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
· Working with the SMR Products Technology Team to develop new and existing solutions for Radiation Detection.
· Working with cross functional specialists to develop detailed component and system designs that meet customer product specifications. Ensuring component and system designs are analytically robust, and empirically tested and verified.
· Lead the System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition, starting with customer requirements, translating them into internal specifications, and reconciling both in compliance matrices.
· Detector system and component integration.
· Assess impact of component design decisions on overall system performance and reliability.
· Responsible for design validation and verification planning and execution.
· Analysis of test data results.
· Assess impact of new or changing customer requirements and flow down to product team.
· Technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
· Technical problem solving/Root cause analysis.
· Customer technical interface.

To be successful in this role you must have:
· 5 years of relevant experience with 2 years in nuclear, aerospace, or other highly regulated project-based industries.
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electronic, Nuclear, Aerospace engineering or another technical field.
· Ability to work with U.S. Export controlled technology.
· Proven experience in assessing customer requirements and creating documentation to ensure customer specifications are captured.
· Demonstrate the ability to analyse and resolve problems in a timely manner.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels
We value:
· Experience in power generation or defense systems.
· M.S. degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electronic, Nuclear, Aerospace engineering or another technical field.
· Experience designing, building, and testing electro-mechanical complex systems. Detector/sensor related work experience is highly desirable.
· Experience working within SAP software.
· Experience with requirements management software such as Doors.
· Have proven experience managing product qualification processes and relevant quality standards such as ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, 10CFR50 Appendix B, ISO 9001 or AS9100, or similar.
· In-depth knowledge of systems engineering practices (e.g., requirements development; standard verification methods; functional decomposition; standard diagramming techniques; risk and opportunity management).
· Team oriented; proven track record of successful collaboration on interdisciplinary, cross-functional, and multi-site teams.
· Certified Systems Engineer Professional Membership. Such as INCOSE
· Experience with Stage-Gate product development process, (NPI/NTI)
