Reuters, the world's largest independent global news organization, is seeking a highly motivated Climate Science Fellow to join our investigative team on a groundbreaking project analyzing global temperature trends. This is a unique, six-month paid fellowship offering an opportunity for a graduate student or postdoctoral scientist to transition their expertise into impactful journalism.
This immersive fellowship provides a platform to leverage your climate science background (or a similar physical science) to communicate complex scientific findings to a global audience. You'll work alongside experienced investigative journalists and data scientists, contributing to a high-profile project with global impact.
About The Role
As our Reuters Climate Science Fellow (Level 1 Journalist – Temp) , you will :
- Analyze diverse climate datasets to identify key trends and insights.
- Develop innovative software tools and statistical models to enhance our understanding of climate change.
- Create compelling presentations summarizing complex findings for a broad audience.
- Collaborate with a team of editors, reporters, and visual journalists on a worldwide project.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following : New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and / or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation hourly range for the role in any of those locations is $30 - $40 / hr.
