What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Revak Keene Turbomachinery?
We are looking for a highly skilled assistant Controller to perform a variety of accounting and finance related activities. The candidate would ideally have prior experience working in an industrial manufacturing or service environment and is a hands-on finance leader. Key responsibilities range from supervising business transactions to maintaining accurate general ledgers of business activities and financial results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accounting across all Fox companies under the supervision of the Controller
- Managing the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing process.
- Managing and supervising daily accounting activities and accounting team (AR, AP, bank reconciliations, accounting entries)
- Collaborate with controller to prepare monthly financial statements and KPIs
- Managing tax compliance
- Continuing the development of internal controls and policies
- Assistance with budgeting and forecasting process.
- Routine financial reporting and analysis in coordination with FP&A
- Support ad-hoc requests
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Accounting Degree required
- CPA a plus
- 10 years experience, prior manufacturing or construction accounting experience
- Experience with Odoo ERP a plus
- Strong analytical skills, attention to details
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls
- Strong computer skills - proficient in Excel, \Word, Power Point; comfortable working with ERP systems
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Good communication skills, ability to interact effectively with other departments
