Job description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support our company’s Financial Operations. This position specializes in A/R and customer care for the Finance department. Key duties include: provide day-to-day collection activities and oversight of the company's Accounts Receivable balances, identify overdue accounts, and lead collection and recovery efforts through research, effective communication and positive resolution. The position requires strong communication skills, an investigative personality and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Establish professional relationship with clients
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate information in the company designated systems, including but not limited to customer contact information.
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Contact clients for payment resolutions
- Establish telephone and email contact with customers to determine the reason for delinquency and understand what they can do to bring the account current.
- Develop customer relations to establish an understanding of what has changed with their situation. This would include follow-up contact and promise to pay dates are met.
- Process payments as needed
- Preparing collection reports
- Send over outstanding balances to collections agency
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- One to two years experience in Quickbooks.
- Minimum 1 year experience in client collections.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Products (EXCEL is a must, along with knowledge of the full suite of MS Office products).
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to investigate financial issues and propose appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Highly detailed, organized, and capable of multi-tasking various daily duties to meet client deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter, independent individual who can work without direct supervision for all tasks
- Strong attention to details
