Job Description
We are seeking a strong IT Director to lead our client’s IT department. In this direct hire role, you will oversee technology operations, and ensure the alignment of IT initiatives with business goals. The main work location for this position is our Corporate Office in Delaware, Ohio, but you will also occasionally be supporting associates at our Columbus location and remote users.
Responsibilities :
Oversee all technology operations, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and secure operations.
Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Coordinate and supervise projects involving system upgrades, new implementations, and integrations.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that align with organizational objectives.
Ensure the security of IT infrastructure, data, and systems by implementing best practices and regular audits.
Manage the IT budget, including cost control, budget planning, and vendor negotiations.
Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
Support the web development team and the ERP team, providing general knowledge of IBM AIX systems.
Support the ERP team migration to a cloud environment including determining technical needs, identifying cloud provider, and managing the migration process.
Provide support for a change in platform for the current HCL based Website infrastructure.
Technical Qualifications :
Extensive experience with enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
Expertise in migrating to cloud SaaS, IaaS and PaaS infrastructures.
Proficiency in Microsoft products : O365, Microsoft Teams, SQL, Active Directory, and Azure.
Expertise in virtualization technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware.
Strong knowledge of network applications, including DNS, DHCP, spam mail filters, and cybersecurity measures
Experience with disaster recovery procedures and backup solutions, including Veeam.
Experience in managing and supporting HPE SAN and other storage solutions.
Open source software and Cisco and Fortinet experience a plus.
General knowledge of IBM AIX systems.
Additional Experience :
Minimum of ten years of experience in IT management or a related field.
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational, time management, and troubleshooting skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines.
Relevant certifications (., Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus but not a requirement.
