What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Revel Search?
Responsibilities include:
·Utilization of CAM software (MasterCam / Esprit) for generation of CNC programs.
·Provide support to machinist on the manufacturing floor after program has been posted.
·Understand post processor editing and customization.
·Work to optimize current and future CNC programs, including increasing feeds/speeds, reducing machining quality risks, and communicating necessary standard work information to machinists
·Utilization of verification software (Vericut) to validate programs for any errors or potential crashes.
·Work with tooling suppliers to stay on the cutting edge of process and efficiency. Develop tool test programs and implementation plans for new tooling
Skill Required:
·Highly proficient with CAM software – (MasterCam and / or Esprit), verification software (Vericut), and post processor editing.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation: Specifications, Procedures, Drawings, GD&T, and Manuals.
- Ability to apply principles of machining, metrology, quality control, mathematics, and engineering economics.
- Proficiency with solid modeling software: Creo, Inventor, Solidworks (Preferred), etc….
- Experience using ERP systems: Visual MFG, Global Shop, JD Edwards (Preferred), etc....
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles/processes: Lean Manufacturing, PPAP, APQP, PFEMA, SPC
(Preferred)
·CNC Lathe/Mill programming: 10 years (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
