Position Overview:
The Service Engineer provides expert-level maintenance, installation, and repair of CNC machine tools at customer sites and via remote support. Ideal candidates will possess excellent technical capabilities, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform installation, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of CNC machine tools.
Document technical information clearly and accurately, updating service records consistently.
Prepare, generate, and analyze service reports, including ongoing documentation and special requests.
Collaborate effectively with customers’ service engineers, providing guidance, assistance, and training on newer product lines.
Maintain exceptional communication and customer service standards, proactively building strong relationships with customers.
Handle challenging customer situations professionally and positively, ensuring prompt issue resolution and collecting feedback to improve services.
Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of CNC machine tools.
Familiarity with DMG MORI machines and Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controls strongly preferred.
Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Adaptability to frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and unexpected situations.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% throughout a multi-state region, via car or air travel. Employees are expected to report to the Technical Center when not at customer locations.
Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
