POSITION SUMMARY
REVELXP is currently looking for a passionate individual to work with our accounting/finance team to execute daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes. As the Staff Accountant, you will report to and support the VP of Accounting in building out and executing the accounting processes for our company. The successful candidate will have technical accounting expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be passionate about sports!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
- Maintain general ledger through posting of journal entries and performing monthly account reconciliations
- Support month-end close process and internal management reporting of financial results
- Monitor capital expenditure and fixed asset accounting, including asset classifications and categorizations, asset disposals, and depreciation calculations
- Assist with external audit and tax compliance engagements
- Ensure strong documentation of work performed to ensure reconciliations are accurate, easy to follow, and are supported with proper details
- Support the development of and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT CANDIDATE?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with strong understanding and working knowledge of GAAP
- Minimum (2) years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or full-cycle general ledger accounting environment
- Direct experience recording transactions and making adjusting entries
- QuickBooks or NetSuite experience is a plus
- Problem solving and process improvement skills
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and operational initiatives.
