Job Description
The Technical Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting and research of production-related issues, providing basic technical application support for internal teams, and deployment to our production environment. This role is intended to work alongside our Development and DevOps Engineer teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical troubleshooting
- Clear written and verbal communication with internal customers
- Application support for internal proprietary software
- Identify and correct data issues in a production environment
- Effectively communicate and interact with internal teams for issue resolution
- Recognize and document core incident trends
- Access Linux and Windows environments to review logs and application status
- Work closely with Development to debug, deploy, and document applications
- Follow and create documented procedures for application and infrastructure maintenance
- Build monitoring and auditing solutions around identified issues
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Technical problem-solving skills
- 1-3 years SQL or other database query language preferred
- 1-3 years Linux/Bash preferred
- Experience troubleshooting in a live production environment preferred
- Experience with large datasets preferred
- Experience with high volume, mission critical applications
- Experience with version control (GIT, CVS)
- Able to read Java/C#
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Education/Experience
A bachelor's degree is not required, but preferred. More than anything, RMS is looking for people who are passionate about technology who want to develop the skills to solve hard and important problems.
Experience with above or any programming language is not required, but it is preferred.
Environmental Conditions
Indoor climate-controlled environment. Moderate to quiet noise level
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in the written form. The employee is physically required to utilize a laptop and other electronic devices effectively. The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (laptop computer, bag, and accessories).
