Director of Account Management (Full Time)
Job Summary: The Director of Account Management plays a pivotal role as a strategic leader and key liaison between the agency and clients. Reporting directly to the VP of Strategy & Operations, this position demands exemplary verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas, lead project teams, and drive impactful results. As the leader of the Account Management team, this role oversees client relationships, business understanding, and project execution. The Director of Account Management is instrumental in orchestrating agency departments to deliver superior services, meet client objectives, and propel growth.
This is an in-person role in Las Vegas, NV. Compensation from $90,000-100,000 DOE, no relocation assistance available.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategy, Planning & Implementation
- Gain in-depth insights into clients’ target audiences, business objectives, products, and services; collaborate with clients and teams to craft effective marketing strategies
- Conduct market research, analyze competitors, and identify business opportunities
- Translate insights into strategic briefs, establishing clear measurement metrics and KPIs
- Lead planning and implementation of initiatives across various platforms and channels; ensure strategic alignment and exceptional results
2. Subject Matter Expertise
- Manage clients, accounts, budgets, and teams; oversee and execute project plans ensuring success and profitability
- Creating detailed scopes, estimates, change orders, and proposals; ensure timely, accurate delivery of work product
- Stay updated with the latest marketing trends, technologies, and best practices; translate into actionable insights
- Provide expert guidance on project management strategies and innovations; lead/support process improvement and implementation
3. Client/Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key vendors, partners, and clients, understanding their goals and ensuring exceptional service
- Proactively manage client needs and expectations; resolve challenges, develop solutions, and manage risks.
- Develop and implement effective account management strategies to drive client satisfaction and agency growth
4. Communication:
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the account management team.
- Actively listen and communicate with clarity, transparency, and professionalism.
- Deliver timely, effective communication (both written and verbal) with the appropriate frequency and level of detail.
- Use straightforward language to convey complex ideas, illustrate concepts, and foster clear understanding.
5. Systems, Processes, & Reporting
- Effectively use agency software, tools, and systems; implement and optimize systems and processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports, providing insights and recommendations to clients and agency leadership.
6. Other Duties, as assigned.
Qualifications - Required Skills, Ability, and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or related field; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background
- Five or more years of progressive experience in account management with at least two years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing client relationships.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Deep knowledge of modern marketing trends, technologies, concepts, and best practices
- Working knowledge of social and digital ad platforms, Google Analytics, Google Ad products and Meta advertising.
- Technologically inclined: savvy user of relationship management technology, marketing automation systems, databases, and CRM software
Preferred Candidates will have the following:
- Extensive account management experience with a five or more years in an agency setting
- Demonstrated ability growing relationships and portfolios with a history of achieving measurable outcomes and expanding client engagement
- Expert knowledge of social and digital ad platforms, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta
- Working knowledge of Wordpress, ClickUp, Hubspot, Birdeye, Coveragebook, LastPass
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
