The Vine is a stunning wedding and event venue in New Ulm, TX, about halfway between Austin and Houston, near Round Top. The venue sits on 22 acres and can host weddings and events of 500 people, making it a uniquely large venue space boasting beautiful landscaping and views of its 7-acre vineyard and pond. The property also has a 5,000 square foot chapel, outdoor ceremony site, two guest cottages, and maintenance facilities.

Overview of Role:
The Venue Manager will manage the entire venue business at The Vine. This role will oversee the entire team of staff managing both the front and back offices, which includes the sales and guest communications as well as staff managing the physical property, including maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, etc. The Venue Manager will report directly to and work closely with the ownership group that owns other similar hospitality businesses in the Austin area. The Venue Manager will have responsibility for the property’s entire operations managing the existing event venue and two guest cottages and as well as helping to execute a successful opening of the expanded property’s lodging and guest amenities in Fall 2025.
Job Responsibilities
The Venue Manager will oversee all business functions and will manage other staff who might be directly performing tasks listed below (non-exhaustive).
MANAGEMENT
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, vendors, and employees
- Hire, train, and manage staff to ensure high-quality service and a positive guest experience
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff
- Continuously improve the guest experience by soliciting and responding to feedback
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
SUPPLIES & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Develop standardization across all guest and back of the house supplies/inventory
- Oversee purchasing of supplies, equipment, furniture, etc.
SALES
Collaborate with Reverie Sales Manager:
- Wedding inquiry management
- Hotel guest inquiry management
- Event and corporate group inquiry management and direct B2B sales
- Tours, open houses, entertainment events, etc.
GUEST MANAGEMENT & SERVICES
Collaborate with Reverie Guest Comms Team:
- Reservation management (creation, payments, rental agreements, etc.) and booked guest communications
- Guest issue and conflict resolution
- Onsite guest management including front desk and concierge services
- Coordinate guest programming including activities, sports, live music, artist exhibits, etc.
- Weddings & events management including coordinating with vendors, planners, etc.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT/MAINTENANCE
Collaborate with The Vine Maintenance Staff and Reverie Ops Manager on:
- onsite vendor management for utilities, service vendors, etc.
- Ensure all of the property’s utilities, systems, etc. are all in proper working condition & work with maintenance manager when issues arise
- Oversee repairs & maintenance - both reactive and preventative
- Manage guest accommodation turnovers and perform quality control for housekeeping
- Manage event space turnovers / cleaning
- Manage and oversee groundskeeping and landscaping
- Manage and oversee swimming pool maintenance
OPERATIONS & TECHNOLOGY
Collaborate with Reverie Technology Assistant:
- Work directly with ownership group to manage and implement technology solutions to automate and streamline business operations
- Hold weekly (more during startup/launch) meetings with ownership group to discuss progress
- Focus on continuous improvement to implement standardization throughout the business and find ways to become more efficient
ACCOUNTING
Collaborate with Reverie Accounting Team:
- Work directly with ownership group on revenue/expense management
- Create, manage, and adhere to an annual budget
- Provide details and assist bookkeeper with maintaining accurate records
Qualifications:
- Managerial experience at an event venue, hotel or similar
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and tools.
Requirements for Employment:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Availability to work variable shifts on both weekdays and weekends
- Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor settings, including all-weather conditions (rain, wind, heat, etc.).
- Must be able to easily commute daily to New Ulm, TX.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
