Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will act as a key clinical resource, providing care for patients with various conditions across multiple body systems. The NP's professional responsibilities will include direct patient care, clinical consultation, research, education, delegation, and administrative duties. As the lead clinician, the NP will oversee and manage each patient's care plan, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards. The NP will practice within the scope of their licensure, maintaining a high level of clinical expertise and patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide elective care services, including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), functional nutritional assessments, supplementation, thyroid optimization, weight management, stress reduction strategies, and lifestyle coaching.
- Accurately record patient histories, symptoms, treatments, medications, supplements, and other essential documentation.
- Conduct routine and comprehensive patient examinations.
- Prescribe medications, controlled substances, and supplemental therapies as appropriate.
- Order and review diagnostic lab tests to identify the underlying physiological causes of patient symptoms.
- Diagnose medical conditions and develop personalized treatment plans for each patient.
- Delegate and oversee the work of nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the broader care team to exchange knowledge, create effective treatment strategies, and address complex or atypical patient symptoms.
- Perform medical procedures such as bioidentical hormone replacement pelleting, intravenous punctures, and other procedures, following proper training.
- Specialize in a diverse range of medical areas, including adult care, geriatric care, family practice, and specialized treatments.
Qualifications
Education: (must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation)
- Minimum Requirement: Master’s Degree
- Preferred: Doctorate Degree
Experience:
- Preferred: Experience in bioidentical hormone therapy, weight management, nutritional assessments, stress reduction strategies, lifestyle coaching, and primary care.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Minimum Requirement: Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner License, DEA Registration, Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) or higher, Biote training and certification within 3 months of hire
- Preferred: Biote training and certification at the time of hire
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
