We have a 1st Shift Manufacturing Technician at our Company Headquarters, conveniently located off 694 and University Avenue in Fridley, MN
Summary :
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic Machining department. In this entry-level role, you'll play a vital role in supporting our production process for high-quality diesel engines.
Responsibilities :
- Receive and check diesel engine blocks into department, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to quality standard
- Assist machinists with assembling caps onto engine blocks using Torque wrenches, following established procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
- Conduct inspections of engine parts per company specifications and utilizing Torque Wrenches
- Utilizing various types of inspection equipment to ensure product meets expectations
- Inspect parts using micrometers, dial gauges, and various other tools
- Visual inspection to check for cracks and imperfections
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, while maintaining quality.
- Follow travelers and documenting measurements when necessary
- Using hand tools, wire brushes, and drills to polish off abnormalities
- Assist machine operators when necessary
- Collaborate effectively with machinists and other team members to ensure smooth production flow.
Qualifications :
Work Environment :
Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting. The environment on the shop floor is usually loud, hot and humid in the summer months and involves standing on cement floors with exposure to chemicals and metal particles. PPE required on manufacturing floor at all times.
Pay : We offer salaries and opportunities for career growth. Starting pay for this position typically falls within the range of $20-$21 per hour.. corresponding with experience.
