Join Our Team as a RN Field Educator – Make an Impact on Patient Care and Education!
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Field Educator to collaborate with administration and departmental management in developing and delivering educational programs that enhance the quality of patient care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Programs: Create educational initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, quality care, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Evaluate Educational Needs: Assess and track key issues impacting patient care and safety, ensuring educational efforts address these areas.
- Collaborate with Leaders: Work closely with administration and the Clinical Nursing Supervisor to develop training materials and resources for staff.
- Facilitate Training: Conduct orientation, in-service training, and ongoing educational sessions for both clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Support EMR Systems: Provide educational support for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in collaboration with the IT department.
- Monitor and Report Progress: Maintain educational statistics, track outcomes, and report findings to ensure continuous improvement and policy compliance.
- Stay Updated: Attend workshops and stay informed on the latest home care education trends to keep staff knowledgeable and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree in a health-related field or a B.S. in nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN): Must hold an active NY state nursing license.
- Experience: Two years of home health and educational experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer systems (preferred).
- Commitment: Willingness to participate in on-call supervisory rotation.
