Job Overview:
The HR Generalist will oversee the daily functions of Human Resources (HR), including full-cycle recruiting, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and policy enforcement. This role will collaborate with various departments to ensure HR operations align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates for open positions.
- Partner with department managers to assess staffing needs and enhance hiring strategies for warehouse and retail operations.
- Administer HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave management, performance management, and employee relations.
- Assist in resolving employee concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Maintain accurate physical and digital employee records, including benefits, attendance, and status changes.
- Work closely with Safety Managers to support workers' compensation claims, occupational health, and safety initiatives.
- Review and approve HR-related invoices, conduct audits, and support cross-departmental projects as assigned.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement, recognition programs, and morale-building initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of HR experience, preferably with exposure to HR management functions.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and support employees at all levels.
- Exceptional communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Paylocity HRIS is a plus.
