What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coding Lead - Revo Health position at Revo Health?
The Coding Lead assists the Coding Supervisor with the oversight of daily coding operations.
This is a full-time position working M-F from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This will be a primarily remote position.
Revo Health is a professional services company that partners with multiple healthcare groups to deliver exceptional patient care. This position will be employed through Revo Health, working closely with Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) and its operating divisions.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for tracking work volume and distribution.
- First line in assisting coders in solving work-related issues.
- Oversees coding training within the Coding Department and performing research on coding issues.
- Support the Coding Supervisor and coders in the auditing rebuttal process.
- Utilize coding references, software tools, and electronic health records (EHR) to support the coders for accurate and efficient code assignment.
- Communicate, collaborate and support the coders in requesting clarification, documentation and obtaining necessary information from the providers for accurate code assignment, and resolve coding-related queries.
- Serve as a resource for coding-related questions and provide guidance to colleagues and team members as needed.
- Assist with the implementation of coding-related software, updates, and system enhancements to optimize coding processes.
- Ability to organize and set priorities to ensure objectives are met in a timely manner.
- Ability to adapt to change and handle challenges proactively and with pose.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, etc. (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws); company policies and procedures; business ethics; etc.
- Stay updated with coding changes, industry trends, and regulatory updates to ensure coding practices align with the latest guidelines and requirements.
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and certification programs to enhance coding proficiency and maintain credentials.
- Responsible for timecard approvals.
- Create and distribute the daily grid.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- 2-3 coding experience
- Preferred Coding Certification: Any AAPC or AHIMA related coding credential and a minimum of 3 years’ coding experience. Surgical coding background a plus.

- Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations

- Understand and execute a variety of instructions
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
