About Revo Ice Academy
Revo Ice Academy is dedicated to developing elite student-athletes both on and off the ice. We focus on high level skill development, academic achievement, and character building in a structured, high-performance environment. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Ice Hockey Academy Director to oversee academic success, player development, and residential management while contributing to the growth of our hockey program.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Oversight & Player Development
- Supervise and support student-athletes' academic progress, implementing strategies for educational success.
- Oversee the dormitory to ensure a structured and supportive living environment.
- Monitor players’ nutrition, behavior, and overall well-being to foster holistic development.
- Enforce academy policies and uphold high standards of conduct.
- Coordinate transportation, including driving team vans for practices, games, medical appointments, and events.
Coaching & On-Ice Responsibilities
- Lead daily on-ice sessions focusing on skill development and performance enhancement.
- Work with coaches to ensure players receive the necessary training and support.
- Assist with team practices, video analysis, and additional training sessions.
Recruitment & Outreach
- Conduct virtual meetings with prospective athletes and their families to discuss program opportunities.
- Recruit players for academy and junior teams, as well as camps, to attract and retain top talent.
Administrative Duties
- Serve as the primary administrator for the ORAH platform, managing user roles and permissions.
- Ensure compliance with all academy policies and procedures.
Additional Commitments
- On-Site Residency Required from July 15, 2024 – May 2025 in Pittston, PA.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in hockey coaching, player development, or academy leadership.
- Strong understanding of NCAA eligibility and academic monitoring for student-athletes.
- Experience managing residential programs, student behavior, and team dynamics.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport players as needed.
- Knowledge of video analysis software and player performance tracking is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
