- Lead and develop a high-performing Quality Control team by providing clear direction, training, and mentorship.
- Effectively communicate plant quality expectations and monitor performance relative to objectives in a timely and impactful manner.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality processes are integrated into all aspects of manufacturing and operations.
- Act as the primary liaison for customer complaints and compliance audits, demonstrating professionalism and the ability to influence positive outcomes.
- Maintain reporting systems for internal and external complaints, using data to drive strategic quality initiatives.
- Foster a culture of open communication and teamwork by actively soliciting input from employees and engaging with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize, develop, implement, and document a robust Quality Management System for maintaining and improving products and processes.
- Promote and sustain the safety, health, and welfare of all Quality Control personnel.
- Own and maintain our Food Safety Program.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, or a relevant field preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in quality systems, manufacturing processes, and customer compliance.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- ERP/MRP system experience preferred; Syteline experience is a plus.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) when on the floor, including but not limited to steel toe boots, eye protection, ear protection, and a face mask.
