Job Title: Treasury Analyst
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week, rest remote)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-level Treasury Manager to oversee vital treasury functions within our organization. The role encompasses two primary responsibilities: managing cash through daily capital market activities, including the commercial paper program, and facilitating long-term capital formation, encompassing financial planning, capital market activities, and debt/equity transactions. The Treasury Manager will collaborate closely with invested funds and interact with trust companies and financial advisors overseeing 401K plans. This position reports to Paul Hirthe and supports Tony Rees in meetings and treasury operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Management:
- Manage capital market activities, including debt transactions, senior debt, and private placements.
- Oversee equity issuance, particularly in programs typical for utility issuers.
- Long-Term Capital Formation:
- Engage with stakeholders on the invested fund side, including direct asset management.
- Collaborate with financial advisors and vendors such as Northern Trust, Fidelity, and other 401K providers.
- Operational Support:
- Take meeting notes and assist in financial strategy discussions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong capital markets experience within a public company setting.
- Hands-on experience with debt transactions and equity issuance.
- Familiarity with invested funds is a plus (not required).
- Background in utilities, industrials, or large public companies (e.g., Harley Davidson, Rockwell Automation).
- Some supervisory or informal leadership experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and SAP is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, particularly on the treasury or capital markets side, is highly valuable.

- The utilities sector is undergoing significant capital programs, transitioning from older units to renewable energy sources.
- The finance team is crucial in structuring debt, equity, and hybrid financial products.
- Last year, the company issued $4B in debt and up to $800M in equity, providing substantial growth opportunities.
- This role offers high visibility and impact, contributing to large-scale financial strategies.
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite (Tuesday & Wednesday), with the potential for additional onsite days during onboarding.
- Lean team structure: a hands-on role with significant involvement in treasury operations.
