Position Overview
We're seeking an Account Executive / Account Manager to drive growth initiatives and strengthen our market presence.
The ideal candidate will build and nurture relationships with manufacturer rep agencies, municipalities, engineering firms, and utilities while providing comprehensive solutions that drive revenue growth and customer acquisition.
Initial 90-Day Trial Period Responsibilities
- Support the sales process through meeting coordination and maintaining timely communication with clients, partners, and sales agents
- Track project progress, manage shipping logistics, and oversee customer interactions
- Process commission calculations and distributions for our network of 150 manufacturer representative agencies
- Analyze customer electrical bills to develop compelling value propositions comparing our solar solutions against traditional lighting infrastructure
- Monitor invoicing accuracy and payment schedules
Core Responsibilities (Post Trial Period)
- Recruit, train, and support manufacturer's representative agencies throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate with our external marketing team, leveraging AI tools including ChatGPT to develop product-focused content and marketing materials
- Coordinate with third-party vendors on SEO optimization and social media strategy
- Generate and nurture leads through outbound calls and follow-up communications via CRM
- Create and distribute monthly digital publications and newsletters
- Maintain and update product catalogs, specification sheets, and marketing collateral
- Provide technical product recommendations and competitive differentiation analysis
- Monitor territory potential, sales metrics, and market trends through weekly reporting
- Resolve customer challenges to ensure maximum satisfaction
- Meet established sales targets and performance metrics
- Managing relationships and growing business with a portfolio of existing accounts/agencies
- Educating customers on the benefits of the company's products/services
- Understanding the company's competitors and differentiators
- Prospecting and trying to bring on new clients(about 2 per month)
- Making outbound calls (around 12 per day)
Qualifications
- 3 years of proven marketing and sales experience (lighting or solar industry preferred)
- Strong foundation in general marketing principles and strategies
- Previous success in a sales role
- Bonus points for experience with Google Ads, social media platforms, and email marketing tools (Constant Contact)
- Working knowledge of CRM systems (Hubspot)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- BS/BA in Marketing or Business preferred (may be waived based on experience)
