About The Role

Reporting to the Absence and Wellbeing Manager, the Analyst, Absence and Wellbeing plays a key role in managing the daily operations and administration of Reworld North America leave of absence, disability benefits, and wellness programs and procedures in compliance with all applicable laws. This role also supports the Benefits team with administrative tasks.

Work Location: Morristown, NJ

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office 2 days from home)

Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Administer day-to-day leave of absence and disability benefit payment process from employees’ initial notice, request for accommodation, to the employee’s return to work and related leave conclusion activities.
  • Process all leave transactions accurately and timely, ensure HRIS and other system data is current, maintain complete and accurate records of leaves and related information, track accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
  • Coordinate with HR team and management regarding intermittent and reduced-schedule leave requests and facilitate ADA interactive process. Also, maintain reasonable communication with all parties regarding leave status, extensions, work accommodations, work restrictions and return-to-work.
  • Facilitate the return-to-work process, including but not limited to, working with employee and leave administrator obtaining proper RTW release, and communicating official release to all parties.
  • Responsible for assigned mailboxes as first point of contact and provide timely responses to employee inquiries in partnership with vendors and/or internal departments.
  • Liaise between employee, management, and insurance/leave management vendor to provide appropriate and required leave information. Also, advise employees and management on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, worker’s compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits, etc.
  • Process accurate invoice payments and weekly reconciliation of disability benefit payments and deductions, issuing overpayment letters, working with payroll on adjusting Paid-Time Off accruals, processing Military Leave pay.
  • Support workplace accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
  • Assist in the coordination and communication of wellbeing events, workshops, and resources for employees.
  • Support the preparation of communication materials including the review and auditing of benefits guides, and the creation of monthly wellness circulars.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to:
    • Respond to government and other agencies’ requests
    • Overall administrative support to Total Rewards Department
    • Serve as backup to other members of the Benefits team
    • Support ad-hoc projects
Requirements

  • 1-2 years' experience in a Human Resources function (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields of study preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to deal effectively with employees, external vendors and carriers
  • Interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and secure cooperation
  • Experience in administering, leaves of absence, and wellness program.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present to groups.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic Knowledge of FMLA, ADAAA, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and related regulations.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Superior Customer Service skills preferred.
