Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with distributed control systems. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, as well as conducting research data collection to ensure optimal performance of our systems. The Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and enhancing the efficiency of our wastewater treatment processes. The wastewater is primarily from the water utilized to wash fruits and vegetables and to sanitize the production area.
Duties
- Provide support in the wastewater line, treat, and monitor the systems and water tanks ensuring the process is meeting the regulations.
- Perform wastewater in-house testing and sample preparation for outside testing.
- Enter test results and maintain records of such test.
- Makes basic adjustments to pH, ORP, and TDS probes
- Makes basic repairs of pneumatic pumps, mixers
- Create job planning and material lists and monitor product inventory/procurement of parts
- Assist in wastewater related systems improvement and preventive maintenance projects.
- Ensuring the quality of the industrial wastewater and sludge leaving the facility meet EPA/ADEM standards.
- Perform required services, as directed by contractual obligations.
- Utilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean condition.
- Train and assist in the assessment of junior employees.
- Inspect the wash line and have it ready for operation.
- Willingness to take on all additional responsibilities that are assigned and/or support other departments if needed.
- Conduct research data collection to analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize basic math skills to perform calculations necessary for system adjustments and repairs.
- Analyze data trends to provide insights into system efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for technical challenges related to wastewater treatment processes.
Skills
- Light to medium mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with machines, reading outputs
- Proficient in research data collection techniques and analysis methods.
- Basic math skills for performing calculations related to technical tasks.
- Understanding of logic controllers and their applications within industrial settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
