Job Summary

The Septic Installation Laborer is responsible for assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of septic systems. This is a physically demanding outdoor job that requires digging, lifting, and working with heavy equipment. Candidates must be willing to work in various weather conditions and follow safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and repair of septic tanks, drain fields, and piping systems.
• Dig trenches and prepare sites using shovels, hand tools, and power tools.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Operate or assist in operating machinery such as excavators, skid steers, and trenchers (experience preferred but not required).
• Ensure proper site preparation and backfilling after installations.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and correctly.
• Clean up job sites and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working long hours outdoors.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of tools and construction techniques is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Willingness to work in dirty and physically demanding conditions.
