Job Responsibilities:
- Leverage the Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Requests, engineered drawings, and input from key internal stakeholders—including design, production, sales, and project management—to effectively organize and execute the procurement of materials and supplies needed to support both manufacturing and installation service requirements.
- Identify appropriate suppliers and obtain quotes where required, including pricing, lead times, and other purchase terms.
- Evaluate offers among different suppliers as required.
- Discuss quotes with suppliers as required to ensure there is alignment between Reyco and the selected Supplier on the terms of the purchase before the PO is issued.
- Utilize Reyco’s ERP system to gather purchasing information and generate PO’s.
- Provide feedback to stakeholders on identified supply issues that could affect production plans.
- Research an assigned spend segment and become knowledgeable about products and vendors in that segment.
- Obtain supplier data required to support production requirements such as specification sheets.
- Conduct product research using product catalogs, online resources, and other relevant sources.
- Perform follow-up with suppliers to ensure deliveries stay on track and resolve any discrepancies with the suppliers.
- Make recommendations regarding adequate inventory levels of materials and products.
- Supplier relationship management – develop, implement, and manage partner relationships.
- Work with current suppliers and locate new opportunities.
- Collaborate with all teams to enhance strategic efforts within their respective areas, driving greater value for the company while fostering professional growth and development.
Job Requirements and Qualification:
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of electrical components is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Able to handle fast paced work environment.
- Ability to work individually and as part of an effective purchasing team.
- Research and analyzing skills.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Ability to effectively review engineered drawing and associated Bills of Materials.
- Proficiency in evaluating vendor-provided quotes and proposals with accuracy.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating material quantities, item requirements, and evaluating proposals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills; including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, & web browsers.
Education and Experience:
- 2 or more years related experience.
- Associate degree in business or related field. (strong previous applicable experience may count for part of this requirement).
- Competency with ERP systems.
